SDG Compliant girls.... sounds cool.
Where are we today in Nigeria concerning the SDGs? How many girls are SDGs aware? In Nigeria , across the globe...???? The world is yet to explore the latent potentials in girls. It takes an empowered girl to change the world. Who is an empowered girl? A girl who is given information to make informed decision and choices is certainly one.
How does the SDGs come into play? The SDGs is the United Nations Global Goals to transform our world. We have 17 goals in number and it is necessary to involve girls because when girls change from the "old normal" to the "new normal", we have then set the pathways to change the world.
When girls change, the world has hope because girls are the mothers, the wives, the daughters, the girl friends, the grand-mums, the lovers, the carerers, etc. It is a man's world but we simply own it which ever directions the analysis points. We, as girls need to unite and be empowered to take our space, we are intelligent and we must catch them young.
The SDGs is a platform for girls to take the transfomative stage.
